I like to bring the outside inside by creating nature-themed art. Nature sparks an energy in me, which I transfer to canvas in expressive, colourful paintings.  
 

I paint instinctively, often applying the paint thickly using a spatula, pouring directly onto canvas or using my fingertips, to bring energy to the canvas. Then I add the finer details with brush work and a few final splashes to complete a piece.
 

I see the extraordinary in nature and capture it on canvas with the aim of leaving the viewer with not only a vision of nature, but the feeling it left me with too.

I’m particularly inspired by wildflowers, but also paint landscapes, seascapes, still life and local scenes.

I work from my studio at my home where I live with my family in the small village of Horsmonden in Kent.
